Our brewery is situated in the natural reserve of the Diemel valley. This unique location in the Diemel meadows was the driving force behind the environmentally friendly concept and construction of our new brewery. All systems are designed for a high degree of resource efficiency and environmental protection.

As the first brewery in northern Germany, we have been licensed in 2010 as "Solar Beer"-Brewery. Solar beer is a protected quality concept for breweries Producing their beer using renewable energy. The share of renewable energy is above 65% in the production of our beers. We produce our renewable energy sound and environmentally safe by means of an hydroelectric plant. The water is supplied for the River Diemel which flows across the brewery in broad natural meanders. As the effect of high energy efficient brewery and finest natural ingredients used we are granted with European Organic Logo and German Bio certification.
